Proud to Be GAF Master Elite Factory Certified

Master Elite® Certification is GAF's factory certification program that provides ongoing training to roofing contractors and assurance to you that the roof will be completed well and professionally.  Less than 2% of all roofing contractors in Minnesota have qualified as Master Elite®.  Choosing a GAF Master Elite® contractor is your assurance that you'll be dealing with a quality, and dependable professional contractor not some "fly-by-nighter".

VIEW OUR OC PLATINUM PROFILE

Kaufman Roofing has met the highest standards and the strictest requirements required by Owens Corning. In order to receive this prestigious recognition from Owens Corning we had to meet all of the following criteria:

  •  Maintained Owens Corning Roofing Preferred Contractor status for at least one year

  •  Good Standing with Better Business Bureau

  •  Has undergone a Dun & Bradstreet credit rating

  •  Has not filed for bankruptcy in the last seven years

  •  Holds a minimum of $1,000,000 in general liability insurance

  •  Carries all required state and local licensing and insurance

CERTAINTEED SELECT SHINGLE MASTER

Kaufman Roofing has been a CertainTeed Select Shingle Master for many years. This gives us the ability to offer the the CertainTeed SureStart PLUS warranty extension and means we have met the following qualifications:

  •  All job supervisors, plus at least 50% of the shingle workforce are Master Shingle Applicators and at least one employee is qualified as a Shingle Quality Specialist.

  •  Kaufman Roofing has agreed to abide by the terms and conditions described in the “Code of Ethics and Professional Practices,” and has qualified as a fiscally responsible business owner.

  •  Proof of current workers’ compensation insurance, as required by law, and liability insurance covering roofing have been submitted and are on file at CertainTeed.

  •  Have been in business for at least five years, or accredited in the CertainTeed ShingleMaster program for at least one year, or have prior industry experience that CertainTeed considers a comparable qualification.

Kaufman Roofing has been a BBB Accredited Business since 612-722-0965. The Better Business Bureau has determined that Kaufman Sheet Metal & Roofing, Inc. meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public.



CERTIFIED GREEN ROOFER

Kaufman Roofing has received Green Building Council approved training. We participate in a program that allows us to recycle your old shingles and use them to renew our highways.

In the past, used asphalt shingles have not been recycled; they've just been thrown into landfills. At Kaufman Roofing, we are dedicated in preventing the unnecessary disposal of used asphalt shingles. When we remove your old roof, we have the material delivered to a special facility and the asphalt shingles are separated from the other materials (wood, metal, etc.) The used shingles are then transported to the recycling center, where they are ground into smaller particles for use as paving material.

SHAKE BUREAU CERTIFIED INSTALLER

Kaufman Roofing is a Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau Certified Installer. Certi-label cedar shakes and shingles are made by experienced craftsmen who take pride in their trade and the quality of their product. Independent inspections conducted by accredited third party agencies ensure that product quality is maintained. Products are inspected to conform with various local, national and international codes and standards.

Cedar shakes and shingles manufactured by members of the Cedar Shake & Shingle Bureau (“CSSB”) are the only products labeled with the “Certi” brand name.

Each bundle of product has the mill’s distinctive Certi-label tucked under the bundle strap.

Asking for “the blue label” or “number one blue label” is not specific enough. CSSB members’ products are the only ones with the Certi brand name on the label.
